TAB Technician

Job Summary
Join a dynamic, growing, and well compensated team of consultants. We have an immediate need for Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Technician (TAB) for large-scale construction projects.

Today’s buildings are more technical than ever. Complex systems must work together for energy efficiency. Hospitals require tightly controlled air flows and temperatures.

TAB Professionals:

• Record accurate data
• Adjust air and water controls
• Work with all trades in challenging environments
• Schedule and coordinate across large construction projects

The TAB report is concrete evidence of achievement of the design and system capabilities. The TAB Report is the Building’s Report Card.

TAB Professionals use state-of-the-art, calibrated test equipment

• Pitot Tube
• Inclined Manometer
• Electronic Manometers
• Capture Hoods
• Velocity Grids
• Anemometers (Vane and Hot Wire)
• Tachometers
• Temperature and Humidity Probes

Responsibilities:

• Perform TAB plan reviews
• Perform on-site TAB activities
• Record all Readings and Anomalies
• Report all Deficient Items
• Establish effective working relationships with Client, Owner, Contractors, Peers and Sub-Contractors
• Understand and support the immediate needs of the construction project schedule

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• TAB/Engineering experience
• Knowledge about the design and construction of HVAC systems
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend , design drawings, submittals and specifications
• Establish effective working relationships with Client, Owner, Contractors, Peers and Sub-Contractors
• Already passed or have the ability to pass a TAB certified technician test
• Willingness to travel to construction sites for 50-75% of the working hours
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and carry 50 lbs.

Commissioning Agent, Mechanical Engineer, PE Preferred

Job Description:
AET is seeking an experienced Commissioning Agent with experience in Health Care, Medical Facilities, K-12, State and Federal Projects. The Successful TEAM member will possess:

Diplomatic communication skills with all disciplines on a project

Leadership Skills both internally and externally

Effective, Methodical Organizational Skills

Ability to think "out-of-the-box"

Minimum 5 years of Commissioning Experience

Ability to travel

Accomplished in Commissioning Theory and Application

Working knowledge of Building Systems

CxA, CP, BCA, CEM, and LEED accreditation or PE in Mechanical Engineering

Ability to systematically manage projects and disciplines including Testing, Adjusting and Balancing, Controls and facilities operation management

Ability to review documentation to insure that the Owner's Project Requirements will be met

Ability to manage chaos in dynamic situations

Ability to develop Commissioning Plans, Pre-Functional and Functional testing procedures

Witness Testing

Manage Project Log, Change Orders and Issues Report

Compile and issue a final report

Interact with a Growing, Dynamic TEAM
